The St. Leger Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race that takes place annually in the Doncaster, UK. It’s run over a distance of one miles, six furlongs and 115 yards, typically taking place in September. It is open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is considered the oldest of the five “classics”, with the first race being established in 1776. It is the final leg of the English Triple Crown, which also involves the 2000 Guineas and Derby.
